‘Las Científicas Cuentan’ (Woman Scientists Counts) is a project that aims to bring basic or fundamental science closer to general society through the story of women scientists who have obtained a project from the European Research Council. It proposes the creation and dissemination of micro-videos summarizing the projects of the researchers and a cycle of round tables spread throughout Spain in which scientists will share their work with the general public. After each of these talks, the attendees will interpret the information given about the projects, either through drawings, comments or reflections. In addition, all this feedback will be collected in an agenda for 2019 that will be distributed to different sectors of society. The project will raise awareness of the science funded by Europe and explain how science is not so far removed from our daily lives. The main objective is to create meeting places where people from very different backgrounds meet and discover each other.
